Tender Opportunity: Brompton Cemetery catering concession contract
London's eight Royal Parks are some of the best-loved and most beautiful public open spaces in the world.
Managed by The Royal Parks, they provide unparalleled opportunities for enjoyment, exploration and healthy living in the capital.
Brompton Cemetery is a Grade I Heritage Listed Landscape and the only cemetery in the country owned by the Crown and managed by The Royal Parks on behalf of the nation.
We are seeking a small-scale, high-quality catering operator to manage, under a concession contract, the new North Lodge Café at the cemetery. Attracting over 700,000 visitors per annum and currently undergoing a major £6.2m (£4.5m from the HLF and BIG Lottery ‘Parks for People' programme) restoration and refurbishment programme,
Brompton Cemetery is one of Britain's oldest and most distinguished garden cemeteries. North Lodge Café is a newly created, fully fitted out café located within the west wing of the Grade II-listed North Lodge building. The café is located within a busy commuter area with West Brompton and Earls Court Underground stations close by.
Situated within the heart of the Kensington and Chelsea environment, it is expected that the café will embed many social enterprise principles and develop strong connections with local residents and communities. The opportunity is likely to suit a small catering company or social enterprise with previous experience of managing catering operations.
The four-year concession contract will commence in early 2018.
