Alias group plans two new hotels
LHM is to expand its Alias hotel group to Liverpool and is looking at sites in Brighton, East Sussex; Nottingham; Chelmsford, Essex; and two in London, according to director Nigel Chapman.
The group, which has the Hotel Kandinsky in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, and the Hotel Barcelona in Exeter, Devon, has acquired a site in Liverpool, where it will build a 75-bedroom hotel, due to open later next year. This will follow the opening of the 62-bedroom Rossetti hotel in Manchester next summer.
"There is a place for an Alias hotel in all cities and most large towns. We have successfully achieved our targets in both Cheltenham and Exeter. Alias is targeted to grow by two to four hotels per year, with a likely UK total of 30 to 40," said Chapman.
