Strattons hotel in Swaffham, Norfolk, has won theBritish Airways Tourism for Tomorrow Award 2000. The seven-bedroom hotel, owned by Vanessa and Les Scott, won for its contribution to environmental tourism.

The Radisson SAS Hotel Manchester Airport has been judged Airport Hotel of the Year in the Cheshire Life Food and Wine Awards. Chef Raymond Blanc presented the prize to Tarje Hellebust, the hotel's regional director and general manager, and Michele Somers, director of sales and marketing.
