Barry hotelier and family – inquest opens

The inquest into the deaths of South Wales hotelier Robert Mochrie and his family was opened and adjourned in Cardiff last week.

Mochrie was found hanged at his Barry home in July. His wife and four children were also found dead in the house.

Mochrie's hotel, the 22-bedroom Pembroke House in Haverfordwest, had run into difficulties and closed in January.

The hearing was told that Mochrie would be cremated separately from his family, who will be buried.

Proceedings were adjourned until the completion of police and pathology reports.
