Aiming at the middle food service market, Loxtons has added beef shank steak with root vegetables to its range of sous-vide ready meals, which can all be microwaved or reheated in a bain-marie. The on-the-bone dish features beef cut across the bone, which is then braised with root vegetables to produce a traditional gravy. Portion weight is 600g, of which 65% is meat.

Price: £2.64 per 600g portion (in cases of 10 x 600g)
