Beere wins key role at Cliveden

Laurence Beere has been appointed operations director of the Cliveden Group.

He replaces Stephen Carter, who left at the end of last year to move to St Andrews Bay hotel in St Andrews, Fife.

Beere, previously general manager of the group's Royal Crescent hotel in Bath, will work with managing director Tom Goodwin to oversee development of the group's properties. He will also look at acquisitions and management contract opportunities in the UK and Europe.

One of his first tasks as operations director has been to oversee the appointment of new general managers at Cliveden hotel, near Taplow in Berkshire, and the Royal Crescent hotel.

Kevin Poulter has joined the Royal Crescent from Claxton Wood hotel in Liverpool, where he was general manager.

Vivien Sirotkin, general manager of Redworth Hall in County Durham, joins Cliveden on 17 April as its first female manager.
