Best Independent Marketing Campaign

Best Independent Marketing Campaign

Do you operate a single-unit catering establishment, be it hotel, pub or restaurant? If so, you'll know the value of marketing in building your business, and we would like to hear how you go about it.

Kellogg's Food Services is sponsoring the prestigious Catey for the Best Independent Marketing Campaign, organised by Caterer & Hotelkeeper and now in its 15th successful year.

Previous winners have included famous industry names such as Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons at Great Milton, Oxfordshire, but you certainly don't have to be a well-known name to win.

Simply show us how effective marketing over the past 12 months has contributed to your business success.

The independent category is unique in that businesses must enter for themselves, rather than be nominated by someone else, so you must get hold of an entry form from Sarah Sutton on 0181-652 8349. Your entry needs to be in by 9 April 1998.

You should include some of the materials produced, advertisements, brochures, editorial and so on, and show how these helped meet your marketing objectives. Originality and creativity will be important as well as effective use of your budget, whether large or small.

Effective, well-targeted, well executed marketing is the key driver for any thriving business.

As winner of the FWD Gold Medal Award for its trade advertising, Kellogg's Food Services knows how pleasing it is to be recognised by your peers.

We look forward to hearing about how you have marketed your way to success and wish all entrants the very best of luck.

If you feel you've got a winner in the way you promote your business, ask for an entry form for the Cateys now!

Are you proud of the results your marketing campaigns have achieved?

Did careful planning and appropriate targeting mean that you met your objectives?

If the answer to either or both of these questions is yes, then your campaign could be just what we are looking for to win the Best Group Marketing award at this year's Cateys.

Nestlé Food Services has supported the Caterer & Hotelkeeper awards, sponsoring the Best Group Marketing Campaign since the awards began in 1984.

Such an award is in keeping with our ethos of "Nestlé makes the very best", in that it looks for excellence in marketing through creative communications, commitment to the industry, consumer focus and continuous improvement and innovation.

Every campaign is judged on how well the set objectives are met.

Creativity and looking at innovative executions will find favour with the judges and an effective use of budget, however large or small, will also be an important factor when judging the competition.

A successful marketing campaign can also be judged on the added value it brings to your business and the benefits to your customers, and this is what we hope to have achieved with our "Food Service Above & Beyond" campaign.

This campaign aims to provide all of our food service customers access to a range of services, from nutrition and hygiene to legislation, recipes and menu planning - to name just a few.

So if you believe that, like us, you have a campaign that is a winner, then send us your entry by getting an entry form from Sarah Sutton on 0181-652 8349 - your entry needs to be in by 9 April 1998 - and show us why you should be winning this year's Best Group Marketing Campaign award at the Cateys.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish each and every entrant good luck, and we look forward to hearing about your successes in marketing your business in this vibrant and challenging industry.
