BHA takes on temporary issue

With recruitment and retention of staff being such a major concern for the industry, the British Hospitality Association is hosting a conference entitled Temporary Labour: Making it work for you.

Aimed at human resources directors and managers, this event takes place at the Royal Society of Arts, London, on 26 March, starting at 8.30am and finishing after lunch.

First on the agenda is a talk from a legal expert, who will present an update on the latest developments in employment law. This will be followed by an outline of the new short-term government scheme that will allow overseas workers to work in the industry for a year.

Later, the subject will turn towards solutions to recruitment and retention issues, and then the results will be presented of a survey into temporary workers' perceptions of the industry and how these affect recruitment.

To finish, three speakers will be describing their experiences of employing temporary workers.

The cost per person is £95, including VAT. This includes lunch. To book your place, telephone 0845 880 7744.
