Bourdin celebrates silver jubilee
A prestigious guest list of internationally renowned chefs gathered at the Connaught hotel in London recently to celebrate Michel Bourdin's 25 years in charge of the hotel's kitchens. Among the chefs paying tribute to Bourdin were Albert and Michel Roux, Pierre Koffman, Raymond Blanc, Paul Bocuse, Michel Guérin, Pierre Troisgros and Pierre Orsi.
The menu for the event comprised an amuse bouche followed by zéphirs de sole "Tout Paris", consommé de volaille en surprise "Prince of Wales", agneau de lait de Kent rôti et persillé with pommes mireille and frou-frou de légumes saisonniers, crêpes soufflées "Belle Epôche". This will be recreated in the hotel's restaurant from 18 to 30 September.
