Bower brings in budget fly zap

A compact version of the Insect-A-Clear, able to control an area of 40sq m but at a budget price, has been launched by Bower Products. Its dimensions are 225mm x 370mm x 115mm and it can be wall-mounted, suspended or sited on a flat surface. Frame construction is in steel rather than the plastic popular with most budget zappers and features a stainless-steel killing grid to prevent rusting. The catch tray has an anti-crawl lip to prevent wounded insects leaving the tray, and the construction is aluminium, allowing it to be washed easily. The light source is a Sylvania 15W 350BL UV tube, which can be accessed for cleaning by loosening two screws to remove the front grid. Theprice is £66.
