Week Monday 29 October to Sunday 4 November

It's time to celebrate the British Banger with British Sausage Appreciation Week, which takes place from Monday 29 October to Sunday 4 November. Organised by the British Sausage Appreciation Society, there will be a week-long calendar of events to celebrate the variety and heritage of the sausage. Actors John Savident and Stephen Arnold, who play Fred Elliot and Ashley Peacock, Coronation Street's butchers, will be launching the event. Throughout the week, butchers across the country will be holding their own events and tastings to raise money for charity. Now here's your chance to join in the fun and boost your profits by putting on special sausage menus and events in your establishment. The British Sausage Appreciation Society has produced a series of recipes to celebrate the week. The Society will be touring the country with its mascot Mr Sausage to spread the word about the great British Banger!
