Bull dons R&Bcolours for Derby day service

Events caterer Ring & Brymer has teamed up with top chef Stephen Bull to cater for nearly 400 guests at the Epsom Derby next weekend.

Bull will be working at the stove and supervising the kitchen brigade in a marquee serving corporate and private guests at the two-day meeting.

Guests are paying more than £220 a head for the privilege.

The collaboration is the first between Ring & Brymer, a division of Gardner Merchant, and Bull, who owns three London restaurants. The events caterer has previously worked with chef Gordon Ramsay at Ascot.

Deputy managing director Bob Reeves said the policy of working with well-known chefs helped motivate Ring & Brymer staff as well as adding to what the company could offer its customers.

Four Ring & Brymer chefs have been working at Stephen Bull's restaurants in preparation for the event. The menu on Derby day will include leek-stuffed lamb cutlets, saffron and almond pie, and suckling pig.
