caterware wins ceda grand prix
Blackpool-based Caterware is the overall Grand Prix winner in the 1998 Catering Equipment Distributors Association Grand Prix Awards held at the Hanover International Hotel, Leicestershire.
The company also won the restaurant sector award for its installation of kitchen and foodcourt facilities at the Oasis Lakeland Forest Village, Penrith.
HCE's installation at Plymouth Nuffield Hospital won it the cost sector award. The pub sector award went to Watco Design for the Pacific, Whitley Bay, Tyne & Wear, and the hotel sector award was given to Court Catering for the Millennium Conference Centre, Bailey's Hotel, London.
sutcliffe chef scores again
Mark Hill, executive chef for Charters, Sutcliffe's fine-dining subsidiary, was named Contract Catering Chef of the Year by the Craft Guild of Chefs at its fifth annual award ceremony at the Royal Garden Hotel, London. It is the fourth year in a row that a Sutcliffe chef has won this award.
