Yates's Wine Lodges has been named the retailer's retailer in a survey conducted by M&C Report to find the most admired pub operator in the UK. M&C Report provides "the bi-monthly intelligence and analysis briefing document for the licensed retail and leisure market".

Fifty top pub operators contacted by M&C Report, were asked "Who is Britain's best retailer? Yates's Wine Lodges, they said. The Greater Manchester-based company provoked comments such as "broad appeal" and "long-lived formula". Yates's Wine Lodges is set to establish a further 100 Wine Lodges across the UK by the millennium.

The most luxurious setting for a wine course to date is the Seabourn Spirit.
