The Careers & Recruitment Show provides you with an excellent opportunity to make face-to-face contact with employers and other organisations that have taken stands. Use this show guide to plan which stands to visit while you are at the show.

lDetails of exhibitors taking part, together with descriptions of their vacancies.

At the show you have access to:

How to get the best from your visit

The show will be busy, so you may have only a limited time for discussions on the stands you wish to visit. Here are some tips for maximising the value of the show and helping your career plans:

lRead this guide carefully to find which employers are offering jobs that interest you.

lPlan which stands you want to visit.

lResearch a little about the employers who interest you before visiting their stands.

lMake sure you are well prepared to answer questions about your career and achievements to date, and your aims for the future.

lBring copies of a well-prepared CV.

lMake sure you keep a note of the stands you visited and the names of contacts made.

The Novotel at Hammersmith in west London (on the Metropolitan, District and Piccadilly tube lines) will be the place to be on 6 and 7 October. But it will be an easier visit if you study this guide. Please don't travel long distances to the show unless you are reasonably sure that the vacancies on offer match your career plans and the location you wish to work in, but do tell friends who also might be interested in attending.

Remember there is no admission charge
