Recipe guide for Knorr Chef Creations
The Caterplan division of Unilever Bestfoods has produced a menu recipe pack for its Knorr Chef Creations range of frozen individual and multi-portion entrées.
The pack shows colour photographs of the suggested finished dish, with an explanation of how it has been made up for service. It contains ideas for 24 of the dishes in the Chef Creations range, with plans for more in the coming months.
Chef Creations was formerly known as Thomas Morel, but the name is now used just for the bespoke dish production side of the business and will not be seen on wholesaler listings.

Clampdown on bogus cheese brands
The Food Standards Agency has ordered food scientists to determine the chemical "fingerprint" of the nine British cheeses which have special production area status under EU law and cannot be produced outside of the geographical area from which they get their names.
The FSA wants to prevent rogue cheesemakers passing off products masquerading as Beacon Fell, Buxton Blue, Dovedale, Single Gloucester, Swaledale, Swaledale Ewes, White and Blue Stilton and West Country Farmhouse Cheddar.
Scientists will analyse how the soil and grass of a region brings a unique chemical structure to the cheese so that any cheese suspected of being passed off can be checked.
