Cut price food safety that doesn't cut corners
A fresh initiative from the Government called "Individual Learning Accounts" or ILAs means that you can enhance your food business management skills with £175 worth of training for just £25.
Accredited by the Royal Institute of Public Health &Hygiene, the EduCare Practical Food Safety Management distance learning programme is said to have proven benefit for food managers and proprietors.
Designed to cover the principles of hygiene hazard and critical control point (HACCP) recognition, the programme provides step-by-step learning through the process of writing and implementing an HACCP plan without the need to attend college or spend time away from work.
The essential guide to HACCP along with refresher courses in Supervisory Management and Planning for Business is available for just £25 for a limited period.
The programme also includes a guide to Stress Management.
The learning programmes come in bite-sized modules with questionnaires and a proficiency test.
According to an endorsement from Sandra Russell, divisional director of Warwickshire County Caterers, Warwickshire County Council, the EduCare programme "is a successful introduction to training, especially for staff who have not studied for years.
"The individual sets the pace… builds confidence and acts as a springboard for further training."
