Stand awards

FOSTER Refrigerator won the "Best Space Only" stand award for its imaginative use of design and branding in the Hotelympia section of the exhibition.

The judges, exhibition director Simon Prichard and Caterer publisher Neil Thackray, said the Foster stand won mainly because of its accessibility to visitors: it was uncluttered and well branded at every angle.

Highly commended in the same category was Frais Design in the InteriorsExpo section due to the company's highly innovative use of a small stand space.

A highly visible andeye-catching design mechanic was employed to attract attention, and a table on show was mounted on the back wall of the stand.

This also maximised floor space for visitors and stand personnel.

The best shell scheme prize was awarded to Harvard Furniture for its well-dressed room set which once again made excellent use of a small space.

Every winner wasgiven a magnum of champagne and a £1,000 discount off the cost ofits stand at next year's Hospitality Week exhibition, which takes place at Birmingham's NEC on 23-26 January.
