FOOD & WINE NVQ
THE Academy of Food and Wine is mid-way through a Central London Training & Enterprise Council-funded pilot scheme to establish itself as a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) assessment centre for food and wine service learning.
Conran Restaurants, the Halkin Hotel, the Hyatt Carlton Tower and Mount Charlotte Thistle Hotels are some of the 15 central London establishments that were selected for the scheme.
Each have provided one senior employee to train as an assessor and have identified other employees for NVQs in food and wine service. The Academy is also preparing a Food and Wine Service Assessor manual for the industry.
