Chambers adds chefs to listing
Fanny Cradock, originator of British TV cookery shows, is among a host of chefs who have found their way into the latest edition of the Chambers Biographical Dictionary for the first time. The late cookery legend, who made her name in the 1950s, was previously overlooked.
The book also includes for the first time Jamie Oliver, Rick Stein, Anton Mosimann and Nigella Lawson, bringing the total number of chefs named to 31.
The dictionary, which has more than 17,500 entries, was published last week.
