Chavot denies talk of leaving Capital job

Eric Chavot, the chef who last year gained a second Michelin star for the restaurant at London's Capital hotel, has denied rumours that he is leaving the post.

The rumours also suggest that Robert Reid, head chef at the Oak Room in London, has been approached by headhunters to replace Chavot.

Chavot, who joined the Capital almost three years ago, said: "As far as I know, no, I am not leaving."

Reid said: "I don't know anything about it at all. It is just another pipe dream."
