Chip shop rampage

Three England football fans who went on a drunken rampage terrified staff at a London fish and chip shop.

Police were called to Micky's Fish Bar in Paddington after bottles and jars were hurled at staff and the cash till thrown to the floor in an unprovoked attack, Marylebone Magistrates Court heard last week.

One member of staff, Jose Batista, had vinegar squirted into his eyes.

Mike Cunningham, Dean Young and Mark Didcot, all from Bristol, were each ordered to pay £30 court costs and £80 compensation to the owner. Young was fined an extra £200 in compensation to Batista for assault. All three were ordered to serve a total of 480 hours of community service.

The court heard that they were initially too drunk to be interviewed.
