Waste compactors

European law is making itself felt over the way in which businesses dispose of their packaging. A directive adopted in December 1994 means that at least 40% of packaging must be recycled by 1998 and 50% by 2001. Businesses can organise their own recycling or join with a recovery organisation. Suppliers will certainly be affected, with a likely impact on prices.
