The UK cleaned up at the Hotel Investment Forum's Deal of the Year awards in Berlin today, winning all three top prizes.

London-based hotel group Radisson Edwardian was given the award for Single-asset Deal of the Year for its purchase of the May Fair Intercontinental hotel for £115m. City Inn won New Development of the Year for its first property in London, the 460-bedroom City Inn Westminster, while Permira's £712m purchase of the Travelodge chain of budget hotels from Compass Group was crowned Portfolio Sale of the Year.
