A new look caterer.com launched on 1 August, with a fresh new design, improved navigation, and completely new sections.

Over £1million is being invested in rebuilding and redesigning the site, reflecting its growing popularity since the original launch in November 1999.

The new site will include a greater depth and frequency of news coverage from a dedicated team of caterer.com journalists. A new section will contain essential advice and information to help hospitality professionals do their job: from health and safety, food hygiene and employment law through to marketing, finance and technology. All written by experts and kept constantly up-to-date.

Another section, called Facts & Figures, will hold key information on the hospitality industry. Profiles of the top companies, trends and statistics, plus a comprehensive listing of industry bodies and useful Web sites.

There'll be a brand new on-line resource for professional chefs, based around a searchable database of recipes from the pages of Caterer & Hotelkeeper. The section will also feature step-by-step guides to key skills and techniques.

The revamped New Products section will contain a comprehensive directory of companies providing goods and services to the hospitality industry in the UK. Also news of the latest products and advice on what to look for when buying catering equipment.

The new caterer.com will also hold thousands of job vacancies from across the industry, covering the UK and overseas, as well as practical industry-specific advice on job hunting and careers.

There will be hundreds of hotels, restaurants and licensed properties for sale, complemented by practical guides, in-depth articles and news of the latest deals.
