Danielson quits Forte after a year

RIK Danielson, managing director, sales and marketing, for Forte Hotels worldwide, has left the company after just 12 months in the post.

A spokeswoman for the company said Mr Danielson had returned to the USA for "personal reasons". Prior to joining the company, Mr Danielson ran his own consultancy in the USA, and before that spent 19 years with ITT Sheraton.

Jackie Kernaghan, Forte's senior vice-president, leisure sales and marketing, will step into Mr Danielson's shoes until a permanent replacement is appointed.
