Domino's rolls out sales boost in 1999

Pizza delivery chain Domino's saw sales in the UK and Ireland rise by 15.7% to £63.5m during 1999, the company said last week in a trading statement.

At stores open for more than 12 months, sales increased by 4.7% during the nine weeks to 26 December 1999, Domino's added.

The group opened its 200th outlet just before Christmas and recently launched an Internet ordering service for customers.

The company holds the licence to own, operate and franchise Domino's Pizza stores in the UK and Ireland.

There are 6,300 Domino's stores in 65 countries.
