Dublin woman settles pub lock-in claim

A WOMAN has accepted IR£4,000 as settlement of her claim for being locked in a Dublin pub toilet overnight.

Marian Gahan claimed negligence against Guinness Ireland Group Ltd, trading as Searsons Pub, Baggot Street.

Gahan fell asleep on the toilet approaching closing time. She awoke at 2am to discover that she had been locked in.

The claim was of negligence for failing to check the toilets before locking up for the night.
