EasyCruise steams ahead
EasyCruise is continuing to steam ahead as it prepares to launch its first winter cruise in the Caribbean this November, with first-month occupancy already at 86%.
Between 13 November and 26 April the orange cruiser will dock in various exotic locations such as Barbados, St Vincent and the Grenadines.
The cruise company, which was launched earlier this year, is proving a winner with American tourists with half of the existing Caribbean bookings from the USA.
UK tourists currently make up 30% of passengers.
Unlike its Mediterranean summer cruise where weekend trips are popular, most travellers on the Caribbean route are opting for at least a week, due to the extra expense of getting to the region.
EasyCruise's inaugural Mediterranean voyage earlier this year was a great success with occupancy hitting 83% by August, just four months after it launched.
Unlike traditional cruises, customers can join and leave the trip where they wish and the ship is moored in port over night so guests can go ashore and enjoy the local nightlife.
