Elior makes plans for global expansion
French-owned contract caterer Elior plansfurther overseas acquisitions after a year in which its sales increased by 20% to almost €1.82b (£1.15b).
Net profit rose 15.9% to €14.3m (£9m).
During the financial year to 30 September 2000, international sales rose from 15.5% of turnover to 26.8%, mainly as a result of the acquisition of Nelson Hind in the UK, Ristochef in Italy and Osesa in Spain.
"Thanks to our strengthened financial structure following the IPO [stock exchange flotation] last March, we remain confident in the group's capacity to continue to grow at a rate of over 10% per annum, as much through organic growth as by acquisitions," Elior said in a statement.
