Environmental system kudos

Leading contract caterer Aramark has implemented an environmental management system which has made the company the first in the hospitality sector to achieve ISO 14001 accredited certification. This shows that companies have a thorough understanding of the environmental impact of their operations while targeting areas for improvement on an ongoing basis .
Examples of environmental innovations at Aramark contracts include colour coded drains at BP Sunbury which insure that waste is distributed to the correct destination without contamination of natural sources of water by chemical substances. The kitchens also have a systrem to dehydrate all waste food and convert it to pig food.
