The Derby/Dubaichair (left) is the latest addition to Band International's range of stackable bentwood banqueting chairs. With a replaceable back, the Dubai chair can be customised with individual logos and colours. "The interchangeable backs are very useful for event managers," commented the judges. "Real innovation in the fact that it can be individualised."

American Trading Company Parasolar Parasols incorporate IP55-rated radiant quartz outdoor heaters and lighting within parasols.

"It's user friendly - no gas bottles - and could revolutionise outdoor eating in the UK," commented the judges. Sizes range from 3.5m to 10m diameter in both square and round specifications.

The judging panel

The final judging for the New Product Awards will take place on Monday 22 January at the NEC and the awards will be presented at the show.
