Filling a new requirement
Some unusual fillings have been added to the Ugo Foods filled fresh pasta range.
Mixing East and West is tiger prawn and water chestnut fiorelli, a ravioli-style pasta in the shape of a sunflower. Other new filings include bacon and mozzarella with sage, spinach and ricotta with nutmeg, and quattro formaggi.
In keeping with a lighter style of pasta cooking, Ugo Foods says the pastas need no heavy saucing, just a little olive oil or butter and seasoning. The pastas come in 1kg gas-flushed packs and have a three-week shelf life.
