Flooded hotel reopens doors

A Northumberland hotel devastated by 40 pipe bursts during January blizzards reopens after a £500,000 refurbishment on 19 April.

The interior of the six-bedroomed Cheviot Hotel in Bellingham had to be restored and refurbished because of flood damage.

Hotel owners Janice Brydon and Steve Davies now plan to rename the property to reflect its new look. A competition is being run in the local newspaper asking for suggestions.
