Food Foundation debate
The Food Foundation is holding its first annual debate to discuss the key health, social and environmental issues relating to food. The debate, "The great food divide", will be held on Thursday 18 October at the London Business School, Regents Park, London, from 6pm.
Among the questions to be discussed are: do we get the food we deserve, or do we deserve what we get? Is food helping to unify or divide the nation? Are we as individuals or groups doing enough to get what we say or think we deserve?
Speakers include Professor Tom Sanders of the nutrition and dietetics department at King's College, London; Matthew Fort, food and drink editor of the Guardian; and Suzi Leather, deputy chairman of the Food Standards Agency and consumer food policy consultant.
The Food Foundation will use the speaker presentations and audience feedback as the basis for more extensive consultation on future activities.
