Free sauce samples

The Caterplan division of Bestfoods is giving away free samples of Knorr Classic Demi Glace, from its Classic Sauce range, to the first 25 Catering Update readers to reply to this offer. All you have to do is write the number on the information card.

To make a sauce, all you have to do is add boiling water to Classic Sauce granules and whisk for two minutes. Chausseur sauce is easily made by adding white wine, mushrooms, tomato concasse and tarragon to the Classic Demi Glace Sauce. Or a Whisky and Mushroom Demi sauce can be created by adding whisky, mushrooms, chopped onions and cream to the Classic Demi-Glace granules.

The Classic Sauce range is in eight varieties - Demi-Glace, Hollandaise, Mushroom, Fish Veloute, Curry Cheese, Bechamel Base and Pepper.

Available in pack sizes from 950kg to 1.120kg, with a shelf life of 12 months.

The range is cook/chill and freeze/thaw stable, microwaveable and bain marie stable for up to three hours.
