WITH a growing number of catering customers eating and drinking al fresco, Insect-O-Cutor has come up with the logical idea of a lamp-post unit - similar in appearance to a self-standing patio heater - which houses three 20-watt ultraviolet lights with a killing grid.
The new product, launched at Pest-Ex , is expected to cost around £1,000.
The standard Insect-O-Cutor range include models with 11-watt green Synergetic lamps which are claimed to be 30 per cent more attractive to flying insects than traditional blue light. A single lamp model with a coverage of 15-30 sq.metres costs £109 while a two lamp covering up to 60 sq.metres costs £134.
