Glasgow tapas dancing for Smillie's Knight

The husband of television presenter Carol Smillie has bought a 30% stake in two Glasgow tapas bars.

Alex Knight and Smillie attended the opening of the second El Sabor, an 80-seat restaurant, which has just opened in the Charing Cross area of the city. The first, with 92 seats, opened last September, also in Glasgow.

Knight, who owns two other Scottish restaurants, said: "If we go into an economic recession, I don't believe people will stop eating out. They'll just spend a little bit less. Price-wise, like Chinese, tapas is cheap and lends itself to a shared, social form of eating."
