Go-anywhere glass chiller

A new self-standing version of the liquid carbon dioxide glass chiller introduced by Chilled Concepts at the beginning of this year was demonstrated at Bar. The unit is aimed at event catering and other applications where it is not practical to incorporate a chiller unit in the bar counter. Otherwise the concept is the same, with each glass receiving a quick burst of liquid carbon dioxide immediately prior to filling.
The outside of the glass instantly frosts up, ensuring that no water mixes with the drink. This form of chilling is claimed to be a 1,000 times quicker than a conventional batch chilling unit. Price is £695.
