Guest is jailed after wrecking hotel room

A rowdy guest with mental problems who smashed up a London hotel room a month after trashing equipment at a hospital has been jailed for three months for criminal damage.

Thirty-one-year-old Stephen Antia, of no fixed abode, inflicted £300-worth of damage on the Edward House Hotel in Pimlico this August when he smashed a window in his room and broke the TV.

At the time, he was on bail for causing £70-worth of damage at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, in July, where he hurled a computer unit to the floor in fury at not receiving immediate treatment for two neck wounds.

These two recent violent eruptions breached a conditional discharge imposed on him last year, also for criminal damages and also at St Mary's Hospital.
