Half-year profit wobble at AGA

Half-yearly figures from AGA Foodservice Group show a 6% drop in pre-tax profits from £11.6m in the six months to the end of June last year to £10.9m for the same period this year. Turnover increased by 30% to £186.1m, of which £113.4m was attributable to the UK market.

Chief executive William McGrath said the company, whose brands include Williams Refrigeration, Falcon and Mono, showed a solid performance in the bakery equipment sector but key markets such as hotels and pubs were too quiet to show any progress.
