Hardy range expands

Houghton, the Western Australia winery owned by BRL Hardy Wine Company, is extending its range with the addition of two red wines.

Houghton Cabernet Shiraz Merlot 2000 is a full flavoured wine with fresh, fruit aromas of redcurrant, blueberry and raspberry, enhanced by hints of spice and vanilla. On the palate, it has a blend of flavours such as pepper, spice, plum and blackcurrant with hints of toasted oak.

Houghton Cabernet Sauvignon 2000 is a softly textured wine with sweet ripe berry fruit aromas and subtle vanilla oak.

It has a soft and round palate with fine tannins. It will be further enhanced with careful cellaring for three to five years.

Also in the range are Shiraz, HWB Classic Dry White, Verdelho and Chardonnay.
