HCIMA wants more access to government

The Hotel & Catering International Management Association (HCIMA) has written to ministers calling for an end to caterers' exclusion from top-level decision making.

In a letter to Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Secretary Jack Cunningham the HCIMA has asked for a meeting to "bridge the gap between the Government and the catering industry".

A spokesman for the HCIMA said that, following the Government's announcement of plans to set up a Food Standards Agency, it has heard nothing further on the subject.
