Hilton International's new chief

Hilton Group this week announced Ian Carter, 43, as chief executive of Hilton International Hotels. He replaces Anthony Harris, who died in April last year. Since then David Michels, chief executive of Hilton Group, and Brian Wallace, group finance director and deputy group chief executive, have split the role between them.

Carter is currently an officer and president of Black & Decker, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.

Hilton International is an operating division of the UK-based Hilton Group and operates 405 hotels.
