GREENALLS' NEW NAME

Greenalls has decided to change its name to De Vere Group subject to shareholder approval at its annual general meeting on 18 February.

FERNGUILD GAIN


Restaurateur Michael Gottlieb's company Fernguild has won the contract jointly with Belgian airport caterer Rest Air to manage three restaurants and a food stall at London City Airport.

DARESBURY MOVE


Lord Daresbury, chief executive of Greenalls, last year earned a salary, with benefits, of £393,000, compared with £411,000 in 1998. He is stepping down from his role as chief executive at the group's annual general meeting on 18 February. He will become non-executive chairman and will be replaced as chief executive by managing director Paul Dermody. Last year Dermody earned £241,000, compared with £231,000 in 1998.

FAST-FOOD TARGET

**Fried-chicken chain KFC wants to open 50 restaurants in the UK this year, bringing its total to 530 and creating 2,000 jobs.
