Time running out for Roux entrants

Would-be Roux Scholars have just 11 days left to enter the 2001 Roux Scholarship competition and succeed 2000 winner Frederick Forster, who has just returned from his three-month stage with Paris-based, three-Michelin-starred chef Pierre Gagnaire. Ward named head chef at Bank

London restaurant Bank has appointed Lee Ward head chef. Ward's career includes posts as sous chef at Quaglino's and as an apprentice at the Feathers in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, as well as working under Martin Webb in Melbourne. He moves from the position of executive chef for Fish. The Bank Restaurant Group and Fish, formerly under the umbrella of BGR, split to form two separate companies in November.

Edinburgh hosts Indian chef final
