Jane's Express route to success

JANE MUFFITT has been appointed general manager of the Express by Holiday Inn London - Hammersmith, which opens in the spring.

Muffitt spent the past year as general manager of the Express by Holiday Inn London - Royal Docks. She has a degree in hotel and catering management.

"It is very exciting to be involved with a project from the beginning, and I am looking forward to welcoming our first guests through the door in the next few months," she said.

Muffitt previously worked for Whitbread in Glasgow and as hotel services trainer for P&O Cruises, where she was responsible for the training and development of 1,400 staff. She has also worked for Disney, in Florida and in France; for Forte and for the George hotel in Huddersfield.

The 135-bedroom Express by Holiday Inn London - Hammersmith, which is in a former Fullers brewery building, is owned and operated through a franchise agreement between BDL Hotels and Bass Hotels & Resorts.
