Although desktop to mobile phone communication is nothing new, communication company Dreamtxt has developed software specifically designed to help the hotel trade contact customers. Actiontxt can be downloaded free to a desktop computer or network, then hoteliers buy text credits at 10p a time in order to broadcast a text message to their database of contacts. Messages might alert previous guests to new deals or current residents to special offers such as free sunbed sessions.
