Lanesborough for sale

The consortium of Middle Eastern investors that owns the five-star Lanesborough hotel in London is understood to have put the property up for sale, with a price tag of more than £100m.

The 95-bedroom property, on Hyde Park Corner, is managed by USA-based Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels is understood to be the agent in the sale.

But industry insiders believe it may be difficult to attract a buyer at the asking price, which is felt to be high for a 95-bedroom hotel.
