Loch Fyne shellfish production for sale

Loch Fyne Oysters, the shellfish production and processing company which also owns the original Loch Fyne Oyster Bar on Loch Fyne in the West of Scotland, is looking for a buyer. The plan to sell the Loch Fyne business was taken before the death earlier this year of the co-founder of the business, Johnny Noble, who held 51% of the stock.

While the production facility and flagship restaurant is for sale, the chain of Loch Fyne Restaurants is not, says production company managing director Andrew Lane. The restaurants are owned by a separate company, Loch Fyne Restaurants, and Lane says it is on target to meet its expansion plan of 21 restaurants across Britain by the end of the year.
